Sufjan Stevens’ cover of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”

Posted by

We’ve mentioned to you before that Sufjan Stevens has orchestrated a series of songs on the cycle of the 12 planets. Well, last night at the Sydney Opera House he did a really great, crazy, spacey, out-of-this-world, cover of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.” Watch it below and be amazed because he seems to be unable to do anything that sucks. *sigh*

He was joined by Bryce Dessner of the National and Nico Muhly did an intergalactic job! (ok, no more space metaphors.)
