21 Pictures That Will Restore Your Faith in Humanity

Posted by

This week, while pumping gas at the busiest (cheapest) gas station in Pasadena, I witnessed a woman enter through the exit, effectively “cutting in line” in front of six other waiting cars. As she was reversing into the spot, to get next to the pump, a truck–one of the cars she had “cut”–pulled forward quickly, snagging the pump before she could complete her greedy manuever. A loud verbal altercation between then ensued. She used terrible words–a lot of them–right in a row, leaving a bewildered, terrfied look on the faces of three little kids sitting in the backseat of another car nearby. I shook my head, pumped my gas and went about my day. Pretty par for the course for humanity really, I thought to myself. Between petty people at gas stations and warmongers who consider young kids in Middle Eastern nations “collateral damage” in our war-zones, it’s pretty easy to become disgusted, if not plain indifferent about the state of our world.

But Buzzfeed’s recent 21 Pictures That Will Restore Your Faith in Humanity¬†will do just that–restore your faith in humanity–and might even encourage you to be a better person, too. It seems there’s kindness in this world after all.
